I have been neglecting my blog again..
Again I'm sorry for not posting anything for a while, if anyone reads my blog. I've just been busy. My abuelo has been here in the States, so my family has been touring him around, showing him the wonderful sights of California. So I am sad that the end of summer is really close, almost two weeks until I get bact to the usual schedule of going on through school, being bored until I can't take it anymore. I also feel so disappointed that I didn't get to finish much on my Summer Bucket List, though I can blame a lack of car and overprotective parents for that. I will still try to finish some items on the list though. I did cut my hair though and I am in the process of redoing my room, so that's progress at least. I am going to go outside and try to enjoy the summer sun, but hey, this is California so the sun never really goes away.

The end has finally come
I finally saw the last Harry Potter movie in theaters today. I wanted to see it the day it came out but I didn't want to see the end of a great saga. I feel like such a bad fan.I guess I was sad to see a great part of what was my life up until now.
I first picked up Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone in the beginning of third grade. By the time I finished third, I was eagerly anticipating the Order of the Phoenix to come out, so I could enjoy reading more of these fantastic books. I think the Harry Potter series was the reason I love books so much.
For other great post about the conclusion check these blogs out:

The movie was filled with great scenes that I'm glad made it in the movie and lots of action comapared to part one. Lots of things were inspired by the phenomenon. But my favorite thing to come out of this? Well....

Summer bucket list
I mentioned in an earlier post that I had a summer bucket list, so I posted it on the sidebar here. I know some of it doesn't make sense or is even stupid to some people, but these are things I've been wanting to do for a long time. I know I may not finish all of this in a summer, but I have to try. Wish me luck!

Something close to my heart.....
Well today was a pretty eventful day for me, it probably changed me forever. I know that sounds dramatic but it's true. I have so much to talk about but I'll start at the beginning. Ok so I was asleep when my mom woke me up at six, which is okay for school but not okay for summer vacation. I was at a party the day before so I was kinda tired. So anyways my mom woke me up and we got ready and left headed to L.A. I found out we were going to a Radio Guadalupe event. So immediately I thought UGHHHHH!!!!

| This was my face...or would be if I was a baby\ |
So anyways we got to the Sports Arena by the L.A Colosseum and I realize that this is not like the other conventions they hold. It was called Unidos Por la Vida, which means United for Life. It was a gathering of a bunch of people like me who are pro-life or against abortion.
Now I hate to say it, but I have a really short attention span when people give speeches, especially when it involves religion. But I was captivated the whole time we were there which was like, seven hours. I always thought the issue was bad, but this showed it to me in a new light.
What suprised me the most was the speakers that came. Singers, actresses, the former treasurer of the U.S, even the governor of Texas was there. But who really inspired me was Lila Rose. At 14 she vowed to stop abortion. The part that I thought was really cool was that she went undercover and filmed what Planned Parenthood was doing like telling girls to lie about their age and being ok with prostitutes coming in. They have footage of it in their website which is here:
http://www.liveactionfilms.org/
It made me feel like I should speak up about this and from now on I will.

Waste of time
Not much happening in my life right now :(. I have finals and am supposed to be studying. But I really don't find a need to study, except in math. So right now I'm just writing and browsing other websites and blogs. I still have hope for the summer though. Well back to being bored.

Take me out to the ball game...
These were actually taken about a month ago but I forgot about them. But I'll post them because I like them. I usually like going to Dodgers Stadium, but by the eighth inning I was kinda bored. So I just started taking random pictures. I used Instagram for the effects.

Test shots
I really like the old feel of things. That's why I like going to vintage stores, owning CDs and vinyl records, and using film. But unfortunatly, I really don't get to use film a lot, mostly because I always develop film wrong so all my negatives turn out black. I also don't really get to use a darkroom all that often. So anyway I found this really cool app called Instagram that has effects for your photos to give it an old or a dramatic feel. I did some test shots in my backyard, this is how they came out.

Summer is coming......
My grandma used to tell me stories of when she was a kid. To her, summer was awesome. Her and friends would go down to the beach or walk around town. And after that they would help cook the dinosaur that was to be their dinner for the night.( Just kidding!! Love you grandma!!!)Sometimes I feel like I was born in the wrong time. I would of liked living in the past, because it seem like those were happier times. I mean most people I know are slaves to technology ( including me) and spend hours online. So this summer instead of sitting around watching MTV and reading about people who do awesome things with their life, I'm actually going to get of my butt this summer and try to contribute something in this world. So to do that I have made a list. Consider it a summer bucket list. I'll tell you about as I finish things on my list.
Now I'll end with an inspiring quote from and inspiring person:
"The best way to prepare for life is to begin to live."

How to deal
Hello, as you read in my earlier blog still coping with the loss of my friends (no they didn't die, if you haven't read it, even though our friendship is. But one way deal is through music. It's my biggest obsession (besides pandas). As you might not know, I am not considered attractive to the oppisite sex. Having been rejected by another stupid guy, I turned to my music. So I made this new playlist. Has some rock, so pop, a little bit of everything. It's mostly the titles of the songs that I can relate too.Listen if you want. I'll probably feel different after I like another guy but for now I'll just complain.
1.Ignorance-Paramore
2.Feeling sorry-Paramore (Hey when it comes to anger, Paramore can nail it)
3.Zero- Yeah Yeah Yeahs
4.Eyes On Fire- Blue Foundation
5.I Can't Be With You- The Cranberries
6.Bulletproof- La Roux
7.Forget You- Cee-Lo Green
8. Jar of Heart- Christina Perri
9. Satillite Heart- Anya Marina
That's it so far. Comment on this and if you have any songs to suggest just put them below.

No point anymore
I haven't been posting much lately. There's nothing really to talk about. Things are kind of crappy at this point of my life, especially in school. I feel like I'm surrounded by all these fake people that don't really care about me. I haven't even told them about my blog. I'm ok about ranting to total strangers but not even to my so called friends. Ok some of my friends are supportive but it's my two closest friends that I've had for a long time that suddenly turned their back on me. They have ignored me every time I've tried to talk to them, like I'm just some stranger. It was so toxic so I decided to get out of the situation. I've left them and joined a group of better friends who are just as weird as me. I still feel sad that I had to distance myself from them, but I'm feeling good.
I changed my blog name, because I wanted to combine Waiting Room and Indie Girl, because having these two blogs was like making myself into two different people. So I think it will be the end of Waiting Room. I'm tired of waiting, I'm actually going to go out and do stuff. So I will still be a the dork while still being an indie scenster (sort of).
Rock on,
Kelly

Working toward my dream.
If you have been catching up on my other blog, you would know that I'm on spring break, stuck inside, babysitting my six year old brother. So when I had the chance, I got some books out from the library. So I got some books. Yes I know I'm a freak to actually read books optionally. Anyways since I want to be filmmaker or director or maybe even actress. I got this book called Digital Filmmaking For Teens.
Some of my role models who started small. (like me) :
Christopher Nolan
He started playing around with film when he was around seven. As a kid he made films in Chicago. He filmed his first feature film Following in 1998. He has made great movies like The Dark Knight and Inception.
Diablo Cody
I loved Juno. I read the screenplay and I love how she incorparates awesome bands (The Stooges, The Runaways, Sonic Youth) into her screenplay.
Clint Eastwood
Actor turned director. Both are awesome and his films are something.
Yeah that's it so far. But I don't want to stop there. I also want to be a writer for books and magazines alike and do something involving the music business. Yeah I've got huge and improbable dreams, but I'm tired of being bored and waiting. I never want to feel bored ever again in my life, even while I'm waiting at the DMV. So I'm going to start now while I have the chance. Well off to do something, see ya.

Ways to save! (Without looking for coupons)
Well, I am very broke so I am on hiatus from shopping. I still have some money from my quinceneara but I don't want to spend it all. I still have to have a college fund to fill. So how have I bought a ton with less than $100? Well I have some secrets.
1. Goodwill: Before you scream " Eww, that's gross" , going to Goodwill is in the words of Achmed The Dead Terrorist it's all about " location, location, location." I go to the Beverly Hills and Pasadena Goodwill'. You have to search and you can find good stuff. On my first day going to the Pasadena place I found a cute blazer, some oxford shoes, and some cutoff shorts. When you think about it you are technically shopping vintage. But some good vintage stores are Buffalo Exchange, Crossroads, and Jet Rag.
2. Good stores : Forever 21 has great sales, and some necklaces are $1.50. Like this elephant necklace i got
