Something close to my heart.....

Well today was a pretty eventful day for me, it probably changed me forever. I know that sounds dramatic but it's true. I have so much to talk about but I'll start at the beginning. Ok so I was asleep when my mom woke me up at six, which is okay for school but not okay for summer vacation. I was at a party the day before so I was kinda tired. So anyways my mom woke me up and we got ready and left headed to L.A. I found out we were going to a Radio Guadalupe event. So immediately I thought UGHHHHH!!!!

This was my face...or would be if I was a baby\
So in case you're thinking what the heck is that, well Radio Guadalupe is a Catholic radio station that broadcasts mostly in Spanish. I know it's important for me to have God in my life, but I get tired of listening to the same thing over and over. My mom listens to it all the time in the car so we always fight. She wants her 87.7, I want my 98.7 and KROQ.
So anyways we got to the Sports Arena by the L.A Colosseum and I realize that this is not like the other conventions they hold. It was called Unidos Por la Vida, which means United for Life. It was a gathering of a bunch of people like me who are pro-life or against abortion.
Now I hate to say it, but I have a really short attention span when people give speeches, especially when it involves religion. But I was captivated the whole time we were there which was like, seven hours. I always thought the issue was bad, but this showed it to me in a new light.
What suprised me the most was the speakers that came. Singers, actresses, the former treasurer of the U.S, even the governor of Texas was there. But who really inspired me was Lila Rose. At 14 she vowed to stop abortion. The part that I thought was really cool was that she went undercover and filmed what Planned Parenthood was doing like telling girls to lie about their age and being ok with prostitutes coming in. They have footage of it in their website which is here:

It made me feel like I should speak up about this and from now on I will.
